If you are sticking the foot cushions to your skin, do not place lotion or powder on the area where the cushions will be placed. We recommend that you place the foot cushions on clean and dry skin, then place lotion or powder around the area.
If you place them inside the shoe without removing them, they could last you years. If you place them on your skin and use them every day, they should last around 4 to 6 months depending on how well you wash and care for them. If you are only using them 2 to 3 days a week on your skin, they could last over a year!
We suggest that you try sticking the foot cushions to the skin first, you might be surprised at how well they stick, but if you find that they are moving around when you perspire, we recommend that you simply stick the foot cushions to the shoe and not the skin.
If worn inside the shoe, our petroleum free foot cushions will not damage the shoe when removed. Carefully and slowly lift the cushions from the shoe to prevent any damage to your shoe or the cushion from tearing. Simply wash and dry to use again in a different shoe!

The main purpose of the storage pouch is for travel and placing them in your sock drawer. Other purposes are to keep dust away from the cushions and to slowdown the aging process of the gel turning a slight light yellow from the light hitting them.
Yes. The very light yellowish tone comes from light hitting the cushion and oils from the skin.
Yes! The area must be free of any hair. We have many people that use our products on different parts of their body. Some people use the Lily Pad / MK-1 Foot Armor on their shoulders to keep their bra straps on or hikers that carry heavy backpacks. The Happy Heels can be adhered to the bra underneath their breast to protect them from uncomfortable underwire cutting into their skin (Make sure the cushions are removed before placing the garment in the washer and dryer). Skiers use The Lily Pad / MK-1 Foot Armor to protect them from buckle discomfort high on their ankles. Athletes use our products on their shins, shoulders, hands and chest. First, you must shave any hair were the product will be placed. Then, we recommend that you try waterproof sports tape or kinesiology tape on top of the cushion (found in drug stores). We will be carrying the waterproof tape shortly.
Yes. Make sure to carefully remove the cushions from the socks before placing the socks in the washer and dryer. When removing the cushions from the socks, be careful not to pull too hard on the foot cushion to prevent any damage to your sock or the foot cushions from tearing.
